At NAMES, IMService will release a USB-DRO assembled package. The
package includes an enclosure and cables for up to 4 axis machines. Through
May 18th, IMService customers with certain servo systems and kits will be
eligible to receive a special offer for the assembled system.

USB-DRO now includes a digitizer function. It collects coordinates from
the displayed position
and creates a text file with a series of positions. The positions can be
contours like a 2 axis
lathe profile or a 2D shape like the outline of a box, the inside of a pocket,
hole location
triplets, etc. It can also collect 3D surface points which can be
processed in programs like
Vector Cad-Cam or DeskCNC to create 3D surfaces for engraving, carving, reverse
engineering, duplication, or for further use when combined with other cad data..
Below is a prototype, manual digitizer with approx 12 x 12 x 12 measurement
envelope.
Machine will be on display at the IMService booth at NAMES,
April 18-19, 2009,
Toledo, OH. USA. Pricing and accuracy have not been announced.
