Hi Fred,
I have been playing with accutrans. I have loaded fan.dxf from deskam and have extruded a pseudo 2d object to a depth of .5. I cant seem to figure out how to save the stl file. When I choose save as/ .stl all seems good but I cant find the file thats been generated. thanks Richardt

When you save, you have to select a file type, and give it a name. Check that you aren't sticking the file in some obscure directory in Timbuktu.

Can someone help?
when AccuTrans 3D writes Stereo Lithography file, it cannot automatically flips the Y and Z coordinates. In STLwork shows Y (Z axis in Accutans 3D) and Z (Y axis in Accoutrans 3D). Is there any solution?
Accutans 3D ver. 2.10.5
STLwork ver. 2.1.0.7
Popup error message: at least one coordinate is <=0.0 (when "save" command is selected)

As I recall there is a setting dialog in StlTrans to substitute axes on file save. Look for a settings dialog link before you save the file.

Fred, Thanks for the reply!
Can you tell me how to find the setting dialog to substitute axes on file save in AccuTrans 3D? When I save file as STL files in AccuTrans (using "Save option"), a pop-up menu appears. There are some options and scale menu. I couldn't find any option to substitute axes. I have referred to the help file in AccuTrans. "...When AccuTrans write STL files, it automatically filps Y and Z axes......"
Is there something to do with the warning dialogue? Everytime when I save STL files, A warning dialogue (... at least one coordinate is <= 0.0.......) appears.

Apparently the axis rotation has been removed from the Accutrans dialogs. At one time you could specify any rotational changes you wanted in the save dialog. It appears that you can now rotate an object within the file, so it is not necessary that you do this upon saving. See Tools-Adjust object. For support for Accutrans, please contact micromouse.

Fred, Thanks again for the hint!
I have rotated the object 90 degree along X axis and saved the rotated object as STL files. Now STLwork2 shows right Y and Z axes.
