Following are screen shots of the settings used for a 4 axis Sherline driver box, as wired to a DeskCNC-in-a-box. The parellel port pinout is the same for EMC. If a different pinout is needed , the terminals in the supplied connector can be removed and placed in the required connector positions of the DeskCNC step/Dir connector. The pins can be removed by applying light pressure on the latching tabs with a pin or jeweler's screw driver. The velocities page of DeskCNC Machine Setup:

Note: if the pin 23 is not wired, it can also be stripped and clamped in the Gnd screw terminal on the DeskCNC controller. A gnd wire is required in most step and direction driver wiring configurations (normally any one of pins 18-25 can be used for a ground). Fred Smith - IMService |
