Fred i have bought a new cadcam software
package which i think supports most gcodes i
wont say the name,i will still be using deskcnc
to machine most of my parts as i like it,the
only reason i wanted the other software is it
supports the lathe and i can draw the programs
in it,i dont have vectorxt.
What i would like to know,is it the interface i
use or is it the software which allows you to
use most of the gcodes.

regards vince.

The latest version of DeskCNC 2.0.100 has lathe X-Z coordinate display and cuts G18 & G19 arcs. It also has the encoder enabled for the G33 command. I will post some additional info soon, but I have to test it first.

That means it is just about ready for lathe. You should be able to use it for contouring now, with standard Lathe coordinate values.
