Fred i have bought a new cadcam software package which i think supports most gcodes i wont say the name,i will still be using deskcnc to machine most of my parts as i like it,the only reason i wanted the other software is it supports the lathe and i can draw the programs in it,i dont have vectorxt. What i would like to know,is it the interface i use or is it the software which allows you to use most of the gcodes. regards vince. |

The latest version of DeskCNC 2.0.100 has lathe X-Z coordinate display and cuts G18 & G19 arcs. It also has the encoder enabled for the G33 command. I will post some additional info soon, but I have to test it first. That means it is just about ready for lathe. You should be able to use it for contouring now, with standard Lathe coordinate values. Fred Smith - IMService |
